Sorry guys, my time is severely restricted these days and I'm unable to participate much here in discussions and such. A full load in college (with lots of homework, wtf college teachers?!) + Work almost full time + A terrible commute + Still packing/eating 6-7 healthy meals a day and squeezing in training time = No time for answering backflip inquiries or branle.

Anyway I do have this Monday off! First day completely off from anything in this first two weeks of my new nightmarish schedule. :tongue: I will be shutting down the forums monday to do some work on them though.

Also, if someone has a DIGITAL 8 / HIFI camera with firewire hookup, lives in the states, and doesn't mind letting me borrow it for three or four days to capture about 15 tapes worth of footage (gonna pull some all nighters with my schedule obviously to manage that) : PM me about sending through mail. I will reimburse you for the shipping charges and be eternally grateful / and you will be given credit of course when the final product which needs that last bit of footage from said 15 tapes is completed. IE: Please help me. PLEEEEASE!

I applaud you Juji for maintaining your training and health throughout a crazy time like that - I just started teaching and the amount of time it takes is ridiculous, but I suppose it's easy enough to choose your priorities (which honestly isn't really teaching :). Good luck. Looking forward to seeing whatever comes next.

Haha well my cam was a MiniDV, the one I sent to Juji so he could capture the footage for the first Summer Force sampler, but I know Juji has a MiniDV now so he must be in need of a Digital8 to capture some older tapes of his from when he had a Digital8 cam. Anyway I'd be useless to him now.

Mine is 1/2 broken. It films but cannot capture. So when my MiniDV was in the shop for 1 month I was filming with my Digi 8 which works perfectly except it cannot capture because the port is busted. So I decided, to keep filming with it even when the MiniDV was fixed because I like the film quality better - assured Taegashi would send me his (as he promised 2 months ago progressively on multiple occassions...) / and have given up on him.

So, I'm here ready to rock and roll and what I need is imprisoned!

so you could capture using that. This is how I capture because my old Canon doesn't even have a firewire.

Unfortunately that's all I can offer. My old camcorder records in hi8 format (analog) and I don't think it plays digital 8 (digital :tongue:)

best advice... and those usb to av things are pretty cheap, I got one for like... 25 bucks... and then when you get done using it, return it saying that it's not compatible with your computer or somethin

Juji: Have you tried finding one at a local flea market? Might be able to find one there for pretty cheap. And this way you'd have one to keep.

On a side note: looking through all my old electronics, I found my grandpa's old camcorder. Its literally from like 1940. I need to find out how to get it working. Its so retro its amazing
