I hardly lose flexibility if I don't stretch, I just don't gain any. Different things apply to different people though, I guess.

i sprained my ankle pretty badly 6 months ago, and barely did any stretching in these months i was out. last week i went for the first time to the gym and discovered i could still do a front split easily. so i guess it takes a long time to lose it. (at least for me)
Whatever you lose, you regain within a short time. Generally that is.

I lost a lot of flexibility when I was on vacation for 1 month. It only took me 1 week or less to regain what I lost.

I haven't stretched for 2 months and today I tried a front split and I still can do it easily. It depends from person to person I guess.

*has no idea wtf is going on*
When i did this course on muscele growth they estimated reversal is usuallly tripley faster that the time it takes to gain that improvement. regaining it is easier than starting out from scratch. this moslty applied to muscle hypertrophy but i guess it works for flexibilty too.

Looks like it's the same conclusion all around. It's pretty easy to regain lost flexibility, obviously as long as you've made good gains formerly, if not - don't whine and just keep consistent after you recover. I never lose flexibility, even after 5+ months of no serious sessions.

There's no set rate. Things like injury or extensive use of a muscle or not practicing stretches or not being active or even things like nutrient/sleep deficiencies can all cause muscle fibres to tense against your will, meaning losing the ability you had to lengthen them, decreasing your flexibility.
