Haven't seen any Hyperhook Tutorials, and I've been drilling them quite a bit [thanx to Bubba...bastard]...so I've decided to go ahead and produce one. Normally, I'd put this in "Guides and Writeups" and/or "Tips for Tricks"; but this exampler kinda turns into a sampler near the end, so...yeah.

wow thanks... I've never thought about the hyperhook deriving from a cheat 720, but now that you mention it it seems obvious :good:

its a very good and helpful insight into hyperhooks, but personally i feel its a bit of an over-complication of the move.

still, if it helps people its good :good:

Thanks for making this , it's always nice to find new ways to look at moves.

Your hyperhook looked awesome; that kick was huge and your height is amazing. Just too bad you put your hand down...

Realy fucking good tutorial Sess, I always think of a hyperhook as kicking when you are sort of facing the floor. I never thought to make it feel like im going from btwist to ch720. I cant wait to try this again.

Same, i just couldn't figure out how the fuck people got a nice hook out while facing the floor, and managed to keep their balance. i guess I never watched the move close enough. Really great tip though, I;m so gonna get this next session =P

Great tuttorial for hyperhook Sessh! When im trying to learn hyperhook to other guys i have always said to them, do the same setup as in b-twist then do a cheat720 kick, start like a b-twist then cheat720, hyperhook is just a cheat720 kick with a b-twist takeoff after my opinion, you guys agree?

cool beans, i need to get mine back! I'd thought of the crossover between the moves but never as in depth as to think of the btwist round as a pump. rad!

Yeah but I find it quite hard to get any form of extension on the kicking leg, feels like the hips lock up and I get zero power into it.

So I think that a tutorial would be quite nice. Anyhow great hyperhook tutorial!

still, if it helps people its good :good:

I was kinda hoping that it wouldn't be [even though it turns one move into two]. I kinda figured that most people had a problem getting a quality kick and/or had difficulty knowing when to kick. I just figured this was a good method for study.

Glad you liked it though

I've been working on this move for nearly a year, and still can't bloody do it. thanks sessh, any of your tutorials are much appreciated. Could I host this..? as usual under your name etc..?

Hey Sess why do you re-chamber the kick in your btwist round? I think it looks much better (and powerful) when you kick it all the way through

The way I learned it was thinking of it like some kind of horizontal tornado kick from a btwist set-up. As far as the kick goes, you really have to do a chamber and then the kick, otherwise the kick will not be powerful.

Sessh that was an awesome break down of the move...ur a genius

Its probably personally my favourite trick because it jus feels so awesome when u land it!!...i find that a lot of ppl have trouble because they dont over rotate enough in their hypertwists to get a hooking kick out and jus end up doing like a back kick. I think the key is in over rotating ur hypertwist and thats wat makes it such a hard trick to land because u land essentially blind to the ground

thanks dude.
Ill try it tommorow, I hope I visualized it correctly.
A normal btwist with chambered lifting leg, and right before you land you spring that leg out into a vertical kick?
am i right?

Hey Sess why do you re-chamber the kick in your btwist round? I think it looks much better (and powerful) when you kick it all the way through

I rechamber for a number of reasons: 1) when I land BTR, I normally msl hook [if I was going to hook]...which looks better and keeps my momentum high, 2) sometimes I do BTR-D [kicking two round kicks]...and a rechamber is cetainly necessary for that, 3) other times I may BTR > msl tornado...and rechambering makes that look much better, 4) it's Btwist-round NOT Btwist-roundhouse...so in a literal sense, you're supposed to rechamber

I dont understand...how do u miss leg a tornado [which has a right leg take off] when u land ur BTR on ur left leg?

Well I land my BTR on my right foot and jump off my left foot when doing tornado kicks. So if I was going to do a BTR > msl tornado, I would either: 1) land the BTR, and pivot around on my right foot until it is time to kick my left foot for the tornado, 2) or land the BTR, and do a short hop and perform a 360-round kick [which is like a tornado kick], but without putting my left foot on the ground.

OK... I thought that roundkick and roundhouse kick (house? what the hell is this name haha) kick were the same. But still, I'd like to see what your btwist roundhouse looks like, considering the crazy power of your roundhouse in your cheat 900.
