If you're on a calorie decifit your body will burn stored fat and muscle for energy, causing you to loose weight. But if you eat to less you'll loose more muscle than fat and eventually you're metabolism will slow down to keep you from starving to death.

In conclusion: Just it a little less than you're used to. Cut 500kcals from what you're usually eating. 1000 is way to little unless you weigh like 100lbs...

The manly answer: eating 3x what you are eating now, weight lift 4-5 times every week, and gain 30lbs of strong muscle.

Muscle at rest burns calories, so the more muscle you have, the easier it is to lose fat. Not to mention having more muscle changes your body composition giving you a lower body fat percentage.

And you will be stronger and sexier.

I only say all this because I'm absolutely positive the OP is incredibly skinny... haha
