 i injured my toe (i wanted to axe kick but i axe kicked a rock with my toe) the same thing happened to me on my otehr toe 3 months ago, i did nothing and it still hurts now :(. So when i injured it now, i put ice, and the pain is gone when i dont move it, what should i do to heal it? should i massage it or what, or should i just leave it and rest?

1. Toes are the main thing in jumoing
2. 3-4 months ago i injured my left toe, and now sometimes, when i do a kip up (and it bends) its starts to hurt badly! and im afraid that happens to my right one too!
If you're that anxious, see a doc.
Yes see a doc.
No don't massage it.
Yes it might go away by itself.

1. i tricked with a broken toe most of my last gathering =)
2. never do kip-ups!
just saying it could be a lot worse. it's not like you blew out both knees.
rest + rest etc

Working around the problem. Bought a 6 month card to the local public bath for cardio . Leg training in the gym will have to take a rest, might try leg press to see if they accept that though.
I get free sauna with the public bath card which is excellent since I'm temporarily out of the house (which means no sauna since that is in the house). Problem is everybody leaves whenever I douse the rocks with water

Rahf: can't you still workout your hamstrings?
Strengthening my hamstrings was the key component to fixing my knee pain.
I can I guess. Leg curls would work, I need to work more on those anyways. My hamstrings and especially gluteus already outrace my quads though.

Cry me a river mate. You get what's coming to you if you start a thread about smacking your toe. See a doctor if you're worried.

I remember in Grade 4 I kicked what I thought was a snow drift but was actualy a block of ice covered with a thin layer of snow. Black and blue for a long time, the boots did nothing.
Too bad there's no effective means of toe strengthening and injury prevention. I'd think pushups (since your toes are on ground), running, calf raises and stuff might help a little bit. Do you guys ever kind of tap the ground with the top of your foot with toes scrunched up or roll the ankle that way to stretch it?
