What the hell.... my btuck transformed into a gainer/exploder. :/
Recently I relearned my btucks, and I started to land more forward than I took off. And believe that is why I land so low..
How can I improve it. I tryed to lean back more, but I landed even lower.

haha thats nice man!
I think you could change it by arch your back and look back more, and by that I mean just to get the backflip motion, then use correct technique

Enjoy it while it lasts. I used to land forward from where I started, then I began to land exactly where I took off and then eventually they just went to shit.
I have to really concentrate hard to get mine to stay on the spot these days. *sigh*.

Haha, so many people think it's great for you, but I can totally relate to your frustration because I experienced the same thing at one point. Doing exploders intentionally is one thing but when all you want to do is a simple backtuck and end up traveling foward unintentionally each time...it's annoying.
As you know an ideal backtuck involves landing in the same spot you jumped from, or maybe a few inches back at the most. The reason you travel forward is actually quite simple. You're throwing your hips forward. I started developing this habit very soon after I landed my first backtuck years ago. I never understood what I was doing until a coach at an open gym session pointed it out to me.
In order to counter your forward travel you need to start reversing it. Think about jumping BACK slightly. This doesn't necessarily mean you actually WILL travel backwards. What you'll actually be doing is fighting the foward rotation and end up going straight up instead. But thinking about jumping straight up just isn't enough. I know what it's like mentally. You feel you're going straight up when in fact you aren't. Therefore, push against it and THINK back. Just don't get in the habit of going back too far or you'll do what I did down the road.
I started to jump back too far, and I don't mean just a foot. It got so bad to the point that I was going 3-4 feet or so back regularly. Then I had to learn to readjust so I could land in the same spot I jumped from, and that took even longer to correct than the exploder problem.
With practice you'll get the feel for it, but a quick fix involves really forcing yourself in a new direction, either forward or back depending on which direction you keep traveling.
Just focus on jumping with as straight a body as possible, a slight bend in your body on the way up to allow a good path for your knees to follow through for the tuck and yeah like I said, if you keep going foward, force it back a little more. Practice makes perfect, but focus hard on what you're trying to do with each attempt, not just throwing it without much thought.

I have a gym session in an hour, and Ill definately try out your advice!
Its really annoying I agree. Im landing even more forward than this sometimes.
It kills my height and rotation + looks weird. I just want a solid backtuck, Ill be learning exploders later. :D

your weight is shifted forward to much on takeoff. Try leaning back just a little. A nice guideline for that is trying te prevent your knees from going over your toes to much

I've put Swartzs theory to the test earlier and its working .
This time I landed pretty much on the same spot, where I took off.
I was really so, and I only did 2 btucks so Ill film a vid in tuesday :)

I didn't read all of what Swartz said but I'm sure it was good haha.
Anyways, this usually happens when your shoulders are in front of your feet or center of gravity when you jump, instead of behind them. Think about that.

My shoulders and upper body in general is behind my lower body, that's sorta the way I naturally jump into those. You just have to sorta push them back, not even by leaning back, but just by pushing them back. Reference this tutorial I wrote also:

It talks mostly about one footed moves, but you can easily make the same application with two footed moves.
You see when you jump your hips go in front of your feet, which makes you travel forwards, hence the principle outlined in that tutorial.
Your body is shaped like this - ) from your feet, to your hips, to your head.
When I do it my body is shaped like, hmm haha, like - / almost, nah bad example hard to find a button that I can use lol. But my hips are behind my feet so my legs extend slightly backwards instead of forwards.

haha your cutting your height to the extreme, your only landing so well cause of your super muss leg power. You could go so much higher than that.

Are you kidding lol. If I went any higher I'd have to stall more which would compromise the landing, and I think getting decent height with a superb landing is much better (and more useful) than getting extreme height to death with a worse landing lol.
EDIT: Actually I see where I could have gone higher without compromising the landing ahaha. Oh well, I'm still content with my tech for now. Yay!

Nah look how like short my jump is cut, my legs reach full extension for only a split second then immediately tuck, and my arms don't even go up all the way. Oh well. PERFECTION IS IMPOSSIBLE.
