for several months now i've had this ache in the back of my knee i feel when i stretch like a hamstring stretch, right around where it says "biceps femoris" on this:

in my worst fears its an acl tear, except i sorta don't think that's where the acl IS. has anyone had an ACL injury and can tell me where i'd feel that, or else has anyone else experienced similar pain?

I doubt it is an ACL tear.

oh i had this problem for like a month (a few months ago)

i thought it may be a pcl/mcl problem because i'd hyperextended my knee a few times in a short period of time. it got pretty annoying so i took a break and it seemed to heal ok. i resistance-trained my hamstrings to death to stop my knees bending the wrong way which i thinkkk helped too.

so uhhh. rest will hopefully help!

A tear is a very serious thing mind you. I wouldn't worry too much about that, if you tear a muscle you as well as your surroundings WILL know it, both through the pain and visibly.

If it's a tear you probably couldn't stretch because of the pain. You probably just strained it.

Chances are if you keep aggravating it, it will bloom into a mega awesome injury that will severely limit your tricking. Take a break from landings on that leg for a little.

Doubt it's an ACL tear... I've had that and it hurts a LOT more.

I did have something like this before when I went 10 pin bowling a lot, but I stopped bowling and it went away... o_O

How does it feel when you attempt to do a leg curl? Even with just the weight of your leg while standing up.
