can i learn a gainer eventhough my backflips are horrible and i land on my knees?
yes? no? maybe?
Cause ive been at the backflip for over 3 months and it dident improve a bit.
If i learn Backhandsprings would it help for my backflip 2 improve?
Also can anybody sugest some tricks i could learn today at the gym while i`m there? i only go once a week :(

you aren't afraid to flip backwards it would seem... but you don't know what it feels like to land a backwards flipping move.. so i wouldn't recommend trying gainers unless you want to crash onto your knees from even higher

hmmmm. But its getting annoying, i have to revise my whole technique.
I think its because i cant use my arms. I spin without my arms, idk they just stopneer my chest not oever my neck, i tried so many times to fix it, the move just stuck like that inside of me.
i actualy stoped dooing the backflip for a month then tried again, i landed it , i was like OMG FINALY YES, then i try another one, and it went back to the shitty one i have now :(

what exactly do you mean by this? 'cause you are supposed to stop the arms at chest height, that's the way gymnasts do it. the arms shouldn't reach over your head.
oh and @this thread: you should learn backflips first before doing gainers. have a strong foundation before you move on. take your time to learn that backflip.

well ive been at it for 5 months and its starting 2 piss me off. I progress alot slower than every1.
I started conditioning last week so i could improve.
Kinda working.
But okay i shall leave the gainers alone till i get the backflip. Thanks people :)

alright bro, i didn't even bother reading the other posts so i'm just gonna tell you. WORK ON YOUR BASICS BEFORE YOU MOVE ON TO MORE DIFFICULT MOVES!!!
for your backflip, jump nearly strait up and tuck. JUMP AS HIGH AS YOU CAN. once you have that down, you can move onto gainers. (find a good tutorial on youtube for help)

5 months after i could backflip, i just relearned it and now its all G. =D
i just did backflips and they landed crap on my knees! then i learned gainers and i landed even worse! then i was so low i hit my head and failed at gainers forever more. but then i learned them on my wrong side. how ironic!

Well can i have some tips to practice to jump vertical before going 2 spin, i also jump and tuck directly after, its like an instict to not wait.
I do them on place, i always land on the same spot, i think my head is near the ground.
i`m gonna get a vid tomorow to show u guys/
