I can't get it right.
Do you jump off the kicking leg? or both or NKL?
are you supposed to rotate 360 degrees while doing it?
I would upload a video but my mom and sister have my camera with them in vanuatu.. so yeah.
I've watched Jujis instructional about 1000 times, but he does it so well and I suck at it haha.
thanks for any advice.
EDIT:
the only way I can get the crescent kick executed moderately properly, is by landing on my non kicking leg, Juji lands on both at the same time, I can't do this for some reason.
Jump off kicking leg, kick, land on non kicking leg.

Tornado kick just evolved into 540 kick!

The tornado kick is 360 degrees. A 540 kick is a tornado kick with an extra 180 degrees of rotation and landed on the kicking leg.

Technically its 360 but you should try to get 540 degrees of rotation so it will be easier when attempting the 540 kick.

Use your branlecannon to increase your rotation speed.

sweet as. so for turning a tornado into a 540, just jump harder, kick harder to rotate more?

You'll want a pretty 1337 tornado if you're going for the 540. Have you got good standing crescents?
I suggest if you want to start on the 540, you should mix 540 attempts with your refinement of the tornado kick. Keep working to improve the tornado kick as well as trying to get the 540. I think Juji says something like this in his guide anyway.
It's fine to land on the non-kicking leg by the way - that's what a tornado kick is really. Juji lands on both because he's pretty well awesome at them.
Good luck!

ah i see. Thanks for all the tips i'm sure it will really help me, now that I actually know what I'm doing haha.
My standing crescents are o.k. but due to a slight lack of flexibility they aren't 1337 yet. (I'm working on flexibility)
My friend who just started tricking is gonna come over to my place tomorrow and we're gonna be noob trickers together.

Juji specifically mentions that his tornado kick looks the way it does is because he *ONLY* trains his 540. He doesn't even practice tornado kicks. The only reason he does them is to show newbs the prerequisite to a 540. That's why he lands on both feet.
Go ahead and land on that non-kicking leg first. That's how a tornado is supposed to work.
Don't worry about the height so much right now. If you just keep practicing your kicks, your flexibility will go up naturally. Trust me, I'm a taekwondo instructor.

Cool. I'll keep practicing them, and hopefully get 540's sometime soon.

good luck with it man stay with it don't quit
So it is still classed as a 540 kick if you land on both feet?
