A friend of mine told me to prepapre myselfs for corks by doing moonkicks by adding a lil twist to it so becomes a half-twist. Is there such a thing? How exactly do I do it? thanks.

um, anis does them but i've heard that corks are easier than half twists because they don't require as much control

a moonkick half twist would be a shuriken cork

moonkick = gainer half with hook/axe kick

it'd be better called a gainer halftwist :good:

as already said moonkick is pretty much a "gainer hook"

That was a Gainer Arabian or Gainer Halftwist. There was no Moonkick in it whatsoever...just because one leg juts out a little further than the other doesn't constitute it as a kick, when it kicks and how it kicks is important.

okay wow i didn't know half twists looked like that. Actually I was reffering more to like....doing a moonkick, going to a cork but not twisting completely ie. going to a moonkick, rotating on the axis a little bit such that you face the ground and land. is this a good idea to prepare for corks?

That's what I thought once.. But then I figured out that they weren't.

In a moonkick, you swing-through this way
-> but you flip over and kick
<- that way.

In a shruiken cork, you'd swing through this way.
-> , and you'd twist and kick
-> in the same direction.

Isn't that correct? Excuse me if I'm wrong though.
