This is the only double front I've ever seen outside, but I've seen tons of double backs outside. I'd say double backs are easier =P

I don't think so, because a good roundoff or bhs gives you much extra height on a doubleback. On a doublefront you have to get all height from the jump, which is especially on gras much harder. Also there are a lot more people doing doublebacks than doublefronts. But I can do neither the one nor the other, so correct me if I'm wrong.
