something popped in my leg when i fell down like a retard haha (basically). trying a backside 12 for the first time.
now i can't really twist on my right leg. i can walk fine now but tricking will be a while. im doing a lot of rehab every day and pretty much kicking ass though.

Ahaha what the heck?
"A wild Pop 900 Jacknife Appeared! In the middle of my combo! Awesome!"
Well, honestly, I have not really trained in about 2 years. Since my injury and only in the past 4-5 months have I noticed a change in my tricks. In fact for awhile...I had gotten new tricks (doubletwists, 1080s, and so on), like Kyle haha.
In the past 4-5 months though, I lost a lot of confidence and air awareness. =[[[ So basically it takes along time before you actually lose anything.
BUT, I am now training again starting this week! =]

I could go forever, coz i dont really have any tricks :(
Tornado kick doesnt count and a crappy B-kick that doesn't have straight legs doesn't count either.
haha I'll get there.
I can front handspring! lol..

Really, depends on the person.
I didn't trick over the summer and I have lost practically EVERYTHING, haha. I'm in the process of relearning everything again for the eighth time, as usual. Eventually, you'll get used to losing things and you'll compensate.

When I came back from my ankle injury after several months without training (for the first month I'm pretty sure I didn't do so much as a tornado kick), but when I came back I was better.

Haha I've been worrying a lot about this too lately. But after the many conversations with Grant about it I don't know why I still do haha.

I was sick for a week and i lost some of my tricks.
Then two weeks ago i was sick again, felt dizzy so i didnt trick for a while, and i didnt lose any of my tricks.
Even if you lose anything, you'll get it back in no tme :good: .

i think having breaks from tricking can really help with improvement. I think sometimes you can get yourself into a rut when your tricking constantly but when you step back from it you can sometimes see why you werent landing a certain trick. this is my experiance anyway

i've taken a while off of tricking (well, a while for me anyway) because of financial issues and shit weather but i've been conditioning with my new weightseseses and doing le kicks de la basique so hopefully i'll level up instead of losing shit.
just keep conditioning dave, hopefully we'll both kick mucho derrier when we are back..
also what are you doing with regards to the loopkicks derby ting??

I was injured for 2 months, and then tryed to double cork on the injury like an idiot and was out for even longer. I didn't loose anything infact i think it made me improve.

you cunt k-slash!!! why did you have to swear in this thread!!! now i can't read that page at college (where i am right now)!!!!!!!!!
hi pete =)
in regards to the thread, i once twisted my ankle and lost a lot of air awareness after a break of about 2/3 weeks, felt like i was drunk when i was trying everything !!
i've been resting for about 3 weeks now and my foot is still painfull as ever, cant see myself tricking for a while, but to be honest, i think its about time i had a break. It's a shame cos i was just starting to progress as well =(
i'm supposed to be going to loopkicks yeovil as well.. i might film stuff/not go, i don't feel like i'm at an acceptable level to trick with those guys anyways.

I havent tricked much this year due to many things. But I can still do most of my trickz, they just feel like shit and have no control compaired to what they used to be.

Come to think of it I had to take a couple months off before from ankle sprains before, twice, and I never really lost anything due to the inactivity.
The only time I loose something is when it just stops working because my muscle memory becomes screwed over haha, and that only happens when I'm on a somewhat regular tricking hiatus.
depends on the injury.....
i lost moves becouse of my injury
couse i simply cant do em no more ..but i gained alot out of it 2..
eeeeeeh...2 months? i hate myself. hahaha. certain moves i can do 100% of the time no doubt...out of injury or not. but some moves come and go..whether i have an injury or not...and then it takes me a good 3-6 months to figure out how to do it again...GAAH!! cursed move! its only a btwist too...

The only time I was out for a long time was when I first started tricking haha. I had a couple of months of experience, then I crippled my back and I couldn't do much for 4-5 months onwards. After the injury I started getting better, and I didn't lose much 'cause I couldn't do much haha!
The longest I've been out since that is a bit longer than a month, in February 2007. It really freshed me up, and though I was a bit stiff in the beginning and didn't regain everything at once, I was anxious to continue and I had a better mindset. I had everything back quickly though, and better than before. I'll be taking another month off in December, and I'm actually looking forward to it very much right now... damn joints need to heal.
didnt trick for 2 months..first session back...still had doublebtwists and got c720 that night.... taking a break can do wonders
i'm supposed to be going to loopkicks yeovil as well.. i might film stuff/not go, i don't feel like i'm at an acceptable level to trick with those guys anyways.
You better fucking go! Me and Joe are going, we can't touch them either haha. I just wanna see some sick tricks in real life =)
