View Full Version : Anyone else?
So, here's my deal. I recently quit tricking/free-running to work out my injured shoulder to prevent any type of surgery. Al-though, I know I can trick/free-run without it hurting me, it still bothers me from time to time. I'm in the situation where I'm taking 2 month's off to work on my shoulder so it can be at-least 95-100% when I get back in the game. So, until then, I'm stuck at home, doing physical therapy, ab work-outs, and all around stretching because I have nothing better else to do. I'll be jogging 4 miles everyday a week from now. The thing is, I'M SO FUCKING TEMPTED to go trick/free-run to get enough footage to put out a demo-reel. The reason is, I've deleted almost any of my good footage from the past year. I have nothing to work with and I just wish I had more footage. I'm applying for job's in the mean-time to keep me busy from day to day. I don't know. I think what I'm trying to say is that it's hard to go day by day watching tricking videos and not be able to trick yourself. I feel so helpless. By the time I'm done with my shoulder work-outs, it's going to be winter. I have no footage or anything. Haha, wow, I'm bored. Anyways, if you got any advice on how to keep me busy, I'm all ears.

Yeah, it's getting easier to cope with day by day. By the end of this month, I'm going to go to my physical therapist and ask him if it's okay if I trick again. Ha. Who knows what he'll say. I'll probably end up tricking on my own accord depending on if I feel like I can or not. My shoulder doesn't bother me as much as it used to ever since I started physical therapy.

Dude, one way or another I'm coming up there. You'd better be tricking when I do too... or else.
Injury time is time to study and learn new techniques. You could also develop better flexibility while healing.

I'd say find a new hobby? I mean tricking and freerunning is not everything...when one door closes, the other one opens :)...who knows maybe you'll find something more interesting then tricking or freerunning...
Anyways...you can always waste your life in the Publicus...

fuck:dead:. Point taken haha
its hard to not trick. my ankle has been fucked up for a while and i kept trying to stay off it and let it heal properly, then once in a while i would get pumped up and trick, then fuck it up again
i've been doing ok the last few weeks, focusing more on school and lifting.
find something to occupy your time, and if possible try to do some kind of training that will improve your tricking/freerunning that does not involve your shoulder. as peterh stated, DONT FOLD IN!
