Does anyone know if the j-step technique is bad for the non-kicking knee? The reason I ask is because it seems like your momentum travels in a direction that your knee doesn't bend/support (sideways). If no, can you explain why?

I think tricking in general is bad for your knee, lol. I've never had issues with J-step related moves, but I can see a lot of risk that is inherent just due to the pattern of motion in J-step moves. That being said, all moves carry risk, I don't think it's anymore dangerous than other techniques for gainers, etc.
