1)Valera Flash?
2)A kind of Raiz thing I saw in a gif once, where the person kicks behind and then twist back to a correct raiz position? (I'd appreciate it if anyone posted the gif and name of it, all I know is that it was someone's signature move)
3)Tak9 or Tek6, or something similar?

Tak 9 = Inverted c900
You swing around, down then up haha, makes so much sense.

From a different set up, you start facing the target rather than away from.

The Tak9 is one of Prodigy's signature moves. Named after a friend of his back in the IMC days "Takuraba". It's a Cheat 900 combined with a frontflip...
Quick Explanation
When you approach the end of the "cheat set-up" [while the knee is facing the target], you do a frontflip off the base leg. As you start to get upsidedown, you turn out of the frontflip and into the end of a "fulltwist round" it's one of the few tricks that rotates on all axes.

A Second Look
You can also look at this move as a wrapthru Fulltwist Round [which comes out slanted]. Visually, it looks like a Btwist-round from a "cheat" setup. A really hard move to figure out.
I would make a tutorial of how to do this...but I would hate to put his stuff out there like that. I'll wait until more people figure out how to do it [or convince him to do the tutorial].

ok thanks for that sessh.
would you have links to the other moves?

I do actually, but I don't think it's good for you to have a "one stop, and get all your answers" shop [by addressing me]. I want you to really look for these explanations and/or examples of these moves.
I don't mean to tease you [or single you out], I just think people are getting a little too used to getting the things they want, convieniantly.

While i agree on the Valera Flash one, I don't see how I'm supposed to find the second one, which is a trick when i don't even have the name to.

valera flash is a flashkick from doubleleg setup.
pretty much like a kim do kick except you flash instead of x-ing

Isn't a valera flash a double-leg sidekick thing?

Oh okay. But whats the difference between a v-flash an a popswipe then? Is it more inverted or?

Maybe you're talking about that 'tiger swipe' thing.
Or maybe you're just talking about hook c/t raiz.

I did some research and I found this thread:

Also I think on a Valera you land on the other leg than you would on a popswipe.
Also Valera is more inverted.

valera is backfliped, pop swipe with another leg is singleleg

Nah it's not a tiger swipe. I remember it was a guy doing it on a matress in a gym or a foam pit. Also he was quite known.

I have no idea what you are talking about, if you aren't talking about some sort of tiger swipe thing.
haha sorry for that pointless post.
I would really like to see the gif or video of this mysterious technique though.

I think it was performed by that trickster that always wears a cap... His name is on the tip of my tongue but I`m drawing a blank.

Yeah that`s him... I`m about 75% sure it was him that was doing it...
And I`m sure both you and Jon P have seen the gif before... It was posted about 3 times on TT since I`ve been here and I remember Sessh commenting on it.

I have a feeling you were talking about One Handed Raiz/Sailor Moon. I found the post where it was but Sessh has deleted the gif from his photobucket account. :ogre:

I believe that's a pop-swipe. The way he takes off, he should be kicking the flash with his right leg instead of his left. Also, if you look at his right leg, it's tucked the same as a sideswipe or 540. If he was doing a valera flash, it would be trailing behind differently (if that makes sense).
I think a Tiger Swipe is a fully inverted raiz (Named by Anthony Atkins if I recall correctly.)

You probably have seen Anis do them (At 1:23).

Nah it wasn`t a sailor moon.
From what I recollect it looked like a raiz that started somewhat like a Loser, with a halftwist in it... Hands didn`t touch the ground.
It`s really hard to describe it seeing as how I haven`t seen the gif for a while, and seeing as how that`s the reason I wanna know in the first place.
I do know however it was the guy`s signature move and that sesh pointed out that he was glad he finally landed it, or soemthing. That`s as much as I know.
EDIT: It wasn`t a low raiz either (the no handed gumbi)

Wait a minute... Maybe it was a Tiger Swipe... :dead:
When I someone said Tiger swipe I looked it up and saw a gif of that Loopkicks girl do it (which looked almost but not really), but now that I see Anthony Atkins, I think that`s it.
A tigerswipe is a "low" raiz from a stepback setup.

Yeah i figured that from Atkins`s vid...
Well I guess that`s about it, thanks guys you were very hepful :)

Oh come on are we actually gonna give such a basic everyone-would-have-thought-of it technique it's own name haha. Even Scalco won't call the Hyper Snapuswipe anything other than Hyper Snapuswipe. :ogre:
Hey guys, I did a Reverse Tornado Kick today.
And it's called, MEGA WHIRLWIND LION TIGERS BEARS OH MY KICK.
Peleke
Oct-10-07, 06:29 PM
Yeah I just call it a Reverse Raiz haha.
EDIT: But 'Tigerswipe' is a bit quicker to say ^_^

We aren't giving it the name tigerswipe. Thats what Atkins called it when he did it a few years ago. It stuck. These things sometimes do.
