Hi all. ive just started tricking, and finnaly found the drive i needed to start living a "moderate"-HARDCORE lifestyle.

but the downside of just starting with this lifestyle, is that i know close to nothing about good nutrition, or what kind of stuf u need to take if u really want to get into sports and tricking...

so i was wondering if u can like calculate the ammount of carbs, proteins etc, u need a day? cuz id really like to know exactly what i ought to be taking a day. now im just drinkin tons of water (due to the "water the magic potion" article) and just eatin healthy food,, and trying to keep of the soda's and fat snacks.. wich im starting to find rather hard :p, but so far i managed..

In advance, Thanks for your time :)

Tomas

stop eating shit, no fast food, non of that snacking shit, eat lean meats and drink only water and juices that are relatively healthy. no soda.

its pretty straight forward, theres no need to follow a superstrict diet to a t, just eat 6 meals a day, breakfast being the biggest, dinner being the smallest. snack on fruit instead of shit.

always opt for whatever you think is the healthier choice.

Don't bother with the carb/prot/fat counting shit. That's for people who have nothing better to do, or are doing it professionally. Put your effort into training.

Just eat lots of veg, lean meat, fish, stuff like that. Drink lots of water too. Don't eat any processed stuff. Fuck the soda, crisps, biscuits, all that shite.

And don't copy the trend that fat is bad. Fats are good, in moderation. Just keep away from all the saturated fats.

If you just want to eat healthily then you might as well just follow the same guidelines as the ones from Precision Nutrition.

e.g.: eat every 2-3 hours, eat a complete protein source with every meal, eat fruits and/or vegetables with every meal, eat whole foods only, get 30% of your caloric intake from balanced fats, eat as wide a variety of foods as possible.

There is no trend that "fat is bad", not for years now. As you demonstrated, though, there is still the opinion that saturated fat is "bad", which needs to go away.

Keep it simple. If you're not sure whether something is good for you, think about where it came from.
If it grew from the ground, used to be living, or came from something living, then in most cases it should be pretty healthy. Obviously the less processed the better (Meaning that wholemeal bread is generally a better option than white bread. Brown rice of white rice).

Think about how you would have to eat if you lived in the wilderness, and stick somewhat closely to that theory (don't take that concept too literally).

Eating healthy doesn't have to be complicated. In fact, it's really quite straight forward.

Good luck.

If you want some more constructive criticism, you could post up what you would eat of an 'average' day (before you started eating healthy - as well as what you eat now that you have made some changes).

The key word was "all". What I meant was, you should have fats, but they shouldn't all be saturated fats. IMO most fats should be polyunsaturated or unsaturated.

Yes, exactly - you said:

Which is saying to avoid all saturated fats, and not "don't have all your fat as saturated"

To be be fair, most people that just eat whatever are probably eating too much saturated (and hydrogenated) fats.
