I order Turkey Breast on Wheat(6 inch or 12 depending on how hungry I am) with all veggies and no mayonaise, oil, salt, or cheese. Is this healthy?

No. 'Cos it's fast food. Most probably their turkey is laden with crap and the veggies are a few months old.

Although Subway is probably one of the most healthiest of fast foods, it's still not healthy.

It's most likely the equivalent of making your own type of sandwich like that at home.

If you're talking calories, then yeah it's low in calories. But most places like that do use chemical preservatives and other horrible ingredients that most people haven't heard of/shouldn't consume.

Well I work in a subway and I can tell you that the veggies do not last more than 1 week. They order veggies 1/2 times per week. ALso, the bread is not older than 36 hours. If you want fresh bread, don't order in the morning. Veggies, cheeses and meat are kept in the fridge in a good temperature.

Just don't order your breakfast at Subway. The rest should be ok.

Subway is a perfectly good option if you want something "inbetween" fast-food and restaurant food. Skilzats comment applies and Subway probably has better quality on their groceries than you do at home. That is if the employees stick with given routines and regulations.

Most likely, they don't really follow regular routines because its usually run by students, or people who don't really care much about the job. But still, if you think its a good choice, nobody is stopping you. Overall, it is better than the average Wendy's or BK.
Oh well, I would go for it anyways. Hell, if it tastes good, eat it.

I get literally everything (club sub) on Italian

It's not "bad," but tends to be high in saturated fat.

And their produce isn't better than market produce ha ha, what a joke. The meat just sits out for like 5 days at a time.

Yes Subway food is relatively fresh, and they recently upgraded the wheat bread to having 4 grams of fiber (5 gams for the honey oat), as well as upgrading some of the meats, most notably the roast beef and the steak which now suck ass.

I get all of my subway sandwiches for free, so I load them up till it is basically over 1000 calories for one single six inch.

example: 6in. double meat BMT with triple cheese, on Italian Herd and Cheese bread, extra mayo, mustard, oil, chipotle sauce.

6in. Double meat tuna with 8 slices of bacon, double cheese, parm. cheese, extra mayo, honey mustard.

etc...

Anyway, the point is...

YOU'RE 15 YEARS OLD GODDAMNIT

You don't need to be dieting like this.

Do you WANT to look emaciated?

Do you want to be puny and pathetic because you didn't give your body enough nutrients when it needs them to grow?

Eat a footlong meatball for god's sake.

I was exaggerating if you hadn't realised. Thanks for the info though!

Hmm, I re-read the first post and I'm going to post up a new thread about it.

I think about it this way. Its not healthy but it is better than most fast food places like McDonald's and Burger King and all the rest of them...

I reckon the sandwich I usually get has about 2000-2500 calories in it

Maybe I should fill it with mayo also

thereid why not just look at the nutrition facts of it. If you aren't satisfied, don't eat it. Seriously, its fast-food, but it isn't bad for you.

Yeah it is. 12" BMT on herb and cheese bread, pepperjack cheese, all the veggies except cucumbers, and italian dressing and brown mustard; that's the best sub. But wtf does BMT stand for?

Did you get fired for helping yourself to too many free subs?

Actually I was fired for a complete bullshit customer complaint.

Some lady was saying I got jalepeno juice in her kid's sandwich or something, and that I was rude. Later she made up a story about how she begged me to remove my gloves but for some reason I refused and chucked spicy juice in her child's mini sandwich while she wasn't looking or some ridiculous bullshit like that.

The most unbelievable thing is we have cameras up and running now, and you would have been able to easily watch this tape and listen to everything to see if I had actually done anything wrong, but the manager admitted he had not bothered to do so.

Now this cunt gets a bunch of free stuff, and I have no job, which basically means my rent will now be coming out of my savings account. haha

I will pick up my final pathetic check on thursday!
...franchise sabotage anyone?

Report/sue them. If it is as you say, you have every right.

Actually, no, I don't.

They can fire me for any reason they see fit.

PLUS: I don't have a job anymore, and I would have no money to pay for a lawyer -- compared with their team of lawyers designed to handle these types of things.

Rahf
Oct-16-07, 09:02 AM
If it is as you say then it is seriously screwed up. He does NOT have the right to fire you just by getting an oral testimonial. There's no real evidence is there? And considering there is a surveillance tape then you have EVERY right to report them.

As I said. The franchise witholds the right to fire me for ANY REASON THEY SEE FIT.

Sure it's not FAIR and maybe I could make a fuss about it, but there is nothing I can actually do.

Perhaps it is different in Sweden, but in America whoever has more money tends to come out on top.
