How do you get it? You fall from tricking?

Perhaps it was mentioned in some other thread? I also hope it's not serious, but if it's 5 weeks it IS.

Was it dislocated? I've had bad shoulder injuries in the past, and usually it took me a month or more to actually get full ROM and to start stretching again. I still haven't gotten full ROM back in my right shoulder (which I've dislocated several times) and it has been three months since I injured it last. With enough time and therapy your shoulder will be fine, as long as you didn't tear anything. Than you'll probaly need surgery.

I've dislocated my shoulder 4 times (the last 2 were because I didn't rest enough, 2 weeks after it came out I was tricking again) and currently have not trained for over 2 months, only doing physio work. I'm up for surgery soon. I now have full ROM and strength back in it though so I'm hoping that I will recover soon after surgery.

I've got alot of strength in mine, I've just been stretching trying to get my ROM back. I actually broke my right collar bone last summer, so that dosen't help one bit.
i hope its serious. I dont like you.
Hi I'm TKD Andy, one time this kid who's 17 pissed me off on an internet forum and now i'll never let it go, doomed to be immature forever...

Good news, it's not serious. I went to this sports therapoist type guy who does accupuncture he works on alot of pro baseball players and pitchers and other olympic athletes, so he said he sees this injury alot in the much later more dangerous stage, lucky i have full range of motion he stuck some needles in my arm and did some massage it feels a ton better he told me not to ice it but to put a wet towel in the microwave and put it on my shoulder so the steam gets to it, its working really well he said i should be recovered in a week and ready to start rehabbing it... so ya also the way the injury happend is rather humiliating, i was too lazy to adjust the incline bench a little more of an angle for military press, and my shoulder bent backwards i let go of the weight right in time and didnt fully dislocate but did slightly pop out apparently, but the accupuncture guy popped it back in for me it was very slight though.

speaking of shoulder injury, ive had this for a few months now, but it eventually goes away so i dont bother examining it further. basically when ever i work out my shoulder i can't seem to lift my arm to the side without pain coming from the middle of my shoulder at the joint. ne1 here think it might actually be something or just coz my shoulder is full of ass :ouch:
If it is constantly recurring then yes it is a problem. See the vet when you have time.

Getting a cortisone shot is pretty much the worst thing you can do to an injury like that, all "doctors" do it, they do it with shoulder injuries and knee injuries but what the cortisone does in this case is that it actually "weakens" or makes the tissue thinner in the area where it's injected and the shot also probably contains something to relieve the pain so you might feel better since it doesn't hurt as much, but your shoulder will be weaker and more fragile than ever, increasing the risk for further injuries even more if you're not really careful.
Why do they still treat people this way? Simply just because it is the standard of care, the shots are given because they don't really have anymore treatment options.
Belive me or not, just check it up.
