um, dunno if this is the right section to be posting in, but..
its the sub forum part that does muscles and the body, so.. anatomical questions arnt out of the loop i guess.. anyways..

what's your guys views on the size of your achilles tendons (or whatever the **** its called, the place slightly above your heel, before reaching the back of the chin.

is it "normal" to think that.. a non-wide aka thin and outward arcing means your better suited for jumping activites and tricking\acrobatics\gymnastics, then having a wide non thin line there..?

or is it just the size of the muscles and tendons gathered in the area that determines that ??

any thoughts..?
thanks

Why does it matter?

The lower leg does not determine the height of your vertical jump. However, a higher calf insertion point often goes along with a body that is better suited for jumping.

Because the higher insertion changes the leverage, placing the person in a more advantageous position to generate force quickly (jump higher). Of course the calves alone will make very little difference.
