What are the best ways to build stamina in your opinion? I heard jogging for about 20 seconds and sprinting for 20 then slowing down to jogging is a good way to build up some nice stamina.
i'm trying to build up stamina for everything from running, to swimming.Any tips?:juji:

In order to build your stamina for a specific sport, it is important to do the movement itself. Intervals are a good way to spice up your training. Tabata intervals being one of the more common to me at least. Give them a try while running or swimming.

branleh.. not much, you're not moving much, rape, yeah i guess, it's active and it really gets your heart rate going, especially if you're being chased by the cops or just fleeing the scene in general.

It would depend on what you specifically wanted stamina for.
Obviously you can train your cardiovascular system somewhat generally (running, swimming, cycling, skipping etc...), which will give you limited improvement across most aerobic activities (through improved blood/oxygen circulation, lung capacity etc...).
There are many ways to do this. For general endurance, select an activity and do it continuously for an appropriate amount of time, at an appropriate intensity.
If you want to get specific, you need to stay specific to the activity you are trying to improve, and work in your pre-determined target heart rate range for whatever the set time is.
There are many other options, but as far as building general endurance goes, you just need a general exercise routine. If you're not training for a specific event, then variety will always be beneficial (so doing sprints, and other forms of training will be good on occasions).

Tabata intervals usually involve 4 minute rounds. 20seconds of high intensity work, followed by 10seconds of rest. Repeat until 4 minutes is up, or until you pass out/throw up.
Speaking of which, I have to go do some tabata intervals now.
Wish me luck.

Do cardio to build systemic stamina, and do localized endurance work to build stamina specific to certain muscles that you might not use much during your chosen cardio activity.
