yeah man i'm on 104

anyway. may as well post my thoughts on here.

recently a lot of our videos have been getting honors on uk's part of youtube and i thought why is this not happenening a lot more? well before the uk's sporting youtube gets much bigger tricking should make a move on it.
all we really need to do is get these high honors.

Views:If everyone on tt is viewing our video that generates quite a lot of views.but they would probably come after a few of the other honors.

Comments:This is the main one. Not many sport videos are getting comments on youtube, i mean unless its amazing or outrageous nobody cares.(Tricking is in fact amazing :good:)
Therefor we should be making as many comments on our videos as possible to get that comment count up and get into the "most discussed" category.(Obviously comments made from the poster's videos do not apply here)
If you simply leave the same comment as you would on here that would be great. (also with youtube you can make several accounts and nobody would really care, so you can post many more comments, but that's a bit wierd...)

Ratings:It's easy to rate any tricking video with 5 stars. I mean come on there are millions of videos on youtube, and the one you just watched happens to have had something you love in it! wow! 5 Stars is simple and takes 1 click and ai'm guessing if people are looking for a decent video of sport to watch they may wander into "top rated". :good:

Links:This ones a bit dodgy...With people stealing stuff etc.But really this video made it to #7 most linked in sport for one day and #40 for the week and #28 most linked in general. Thats crazy.
linkage is easyyy.

Film makers consistantly with honors are more likely to get featured.

i'll say more later if i can be bothered.

EXACTLY, and this isn't just for the UK, this is for all of us, if you're going to comment here, then copy and paste it into a comment ON youtube.

This isn't a complaint thread, this is a guide.

I think this is a great idea, but only a select few tricking videos breach the 10,000 views mark. The only ones I can think of that have are Sessh samplers, Ryouko, and a couple Loopkicks vids. We shouldn't just hand out high ratings to anyone who tricks, there have to be standards

I always rate and comment vids that I find particularly impressive

I either rate them 5 stars or not at all, if i'm impressed then it's 5, if i'm only semi impressed then i don't rate

I see no reason to make tricking famous.. Infact I want to keep it low, I mean for example if I do a backflip today everyone goes like: Oh SHIE#"!#¤%T DuDE HoW is TH@t Even POSSIBLE!!!!!
but if Tricking and tricking videos of you crazy guys gets famous I would be like nobody:(

I feel the same way, but I imagine that even if tricking does become widely recognized as a sport, it'll be similar to breakdancing. people will know what it is, but only the select few will participate.

Im headed to go recomment some of my fave videos.

i'm pretty sure it will count yes ;)

i think this is a good idea aswell, and will try to comment and rate more vids on youtube, but as others have said i'll only give 5 stars to the vids i think stands out a bit ;)

yah certain cool samplers (there are actually quite a lot of these) would be great. just gotta give a true representation of tricking.

a true representation of tricking.
thats what i go with.
if a video has that it gets 5 stars.

Yeah, giving a 5 star rating to every tricking video you watch just dilutes the waters and doesn't give a good representation of actual 5 star tricking...

So, if you comment here, comment on youtube too.
And either rate honestly or only rate really good samps.

I would hate for the people at work to think that they finally understand what this "tricking" thing I've been talking about is just because they came across a high rated video on youtube of Bert being serious... where you know, on the flip side, "Unleashed" would make me proud.

My thoughts are about 50/50.

One part of me thinks it would be really cool for tricking to go mainstream. We would finally be praised for our efforts, and people would appreciate just how hard it is.
The other part thinks we should keep it quiet. Everyone doesn't deserve to know about tricking. Sure, one or two people will find out via internet, but if the majority of the world knows about it, then all of our years of training and practice of the sport will go unnoticed.

Also, I think Jryst should be in the Most Discussed/Viewed/etc. It shows a huge array of tricks, as well as very good use of computer effects and editing, which a lot of people look for in Youtube videos.
