So my right sacroiliac joint has been bothering me for quite some time now:

Whenever I do a 540 or any other high-impact move where I land on my right leg it hurts alot; I also feel some pain and more stiffness than usual there after getting up in the morning. Therefore I'm scared of most kicks right now, which prevents me training as much as I'd like to :ouch:

I've seen a doctor and I had physiotherapy, which did help alot, however only to a certain extent. I took several week-long breaks from any physical activity. I'm applying a hot-water bottle as I type this.

So basically I'd like to know whether anyone else has experienced this, if so, how did you get rid of it, how long did it take etc. I'd really appreciate any advice because this is quite literally a pain in the ass

haha yeah that's what I thought when it came out of the translation app

But seriously, anyone studying physiotherapy here?

I dont study physiotherapy, but I have certain problems in my hips and my spine, since I have a coxxa valga and some other slight problems in the hip zone, wich makes me physicially unable to do sports, as the doctor said. True is, that I really had problems doing most sports before I lifted weights and cared about my body. Everytime I take a break from lifting for a longer time I notice my hip more. So I just keep lifting weights, which makes me able to keep tricking.
Do you also have problems with lifting/stretching ? What have you been doing for your physical state so far?

Stretching works fine mostly, and I've never tried weights, so I don't know for sure whether I'd have problems there; however I think I probably would....
Um so far all I do are BWEs... push-ups, pull-ups, pistol squats, crunches etc. (the usual stuff), and whatever we do in TKD.

I have this same problem in my left but i'm lucky it does not hurt. It just creaks and pops which is annoying. It is getting better though... through light yoga, stretching, and swimming. I still weight train, however, but I have elected to give up running, hard martial arts, and tricking until it heals.

I asked my osteopath whether I should quit tricking and MA for a month and go swimming twice a week instead, he said that wasn't necessary... but maybe I'll give it a shot anyway :eh: it would be difficult not to trick :worry:

tricking hurts me the most of anything. my feet are still poping a lot too....

haha I constantly pop... if I walk normally, my big toes and ankles pop half the time, if I bend my knees they _always_ pop, same with my wrists....
