I'm planning on donating blood this Tuesday, November 6th. They're taking approximately two pints of my blood :ogre:. Any idea what I should eat and drink before and after the process? All I know is that I'm going to be lightheaded and tired after :dead:

Get some carbs (maybe even some high gi food) after they take your blood. I think most clinics will sit you down after and give you some water and cookies or something.
Drink plenty of water, and eat plenty of carbs before and after.
Ask the people at the clinic aswell, as I'm really just speculating.

It doesn't really matter, just as long as you eat and drink something before and after.
If you want a recommendation though, eat pizza, with peperoni, sausage, and bacon on it, with orange drink (not juice), because orange drink is god.

I'm wondering how loss of blood could affect your physical performance.
Bad I guess.

Well, the blood donation was successful...to an extent. The most painful part for me was when they check your iron levels (when they prick you :ogre:). Haha, and you were right Jameshido, I did need a lot of salt and iron (but no alcohol, I'm underage ). After they took out the needle, I stood up; walked a little; felt very light-headed; and next thing I know I'm on the floor . Although it kinda felt nice until the moment I woke up.
The medical assistances said I got up to fast. The treatment they gave me was nice. They rubbed my hands and kept be warm for about 20 mins xD cuz I was shaking like crazy, and my whole body was numb and cold.
All in all, it was a memorable experience, but I don't think I'll do it again

I assume they take as much as they can without killing you.

Relax, it's for the vampires.
Actually taking an Iron supplement or eating Iron rich foods after would be good for rebuilding blood cells. Water before and after is good though.
