Your question is too vague to be answered with any real detail.
You simply need to train for speed, strength, and endurance while eating at maintenance level.
Just telling him to train for speed, strength, and endurance while eating at maintenance level is futile, since he has no special diet, nor does he know anything about nutrition, exercise, physiology, science, language, or logic.

Yes, but at the same time I appear to be helping, without actually explaining anything.
It's win / win.
If he wants to learn more, atleast he knows what to research.

read a book read a book read a mu'fuggin book
eat only a hand full of food with your daily nutritional requirements in mind every 3 hours and you will totally rock out your metabolism!! >D
seriously, just eat less but more meals throughout the day, you will remain lean and cut with speed on your side if you train in the proper conditioning and agility exercises

In my opinion, half of the people on JSF have eating disorders so TT is more enjoyable hah.

Maybe he has big hands.
I'd starve in this case.
Eating more times a day does not magically boost your metabolism. The total caloric intake is what decides. Of course you shouldn't eat just one meal but there is no real difference between 3 meals, 6 meals or 8 meals a day.
