Okay, here is the story. So I grilled some chicken breasts and lean burgers on Sunday to eat throughout the week (cause it is easier to eat healthy when the food is convenient and I am busy). I stored them in some tupperware in the fridge. Problem is, by Tuesday the food was starting to smell a little "funny" (I still ate it and plan on eating the last burger 2morrow:eh:). Anyone else had this happen?
I thought cooked food would store well at least until Thursday. I didn't taste weird or anything it just smelled funky. What's the deal? Fresh food isn't supposed to smell like that :punched:.

Not sure.
It may have been on the way out when you cooked it.
Next time you pre-cook foods, make sure you let it cool completely, then either put it in the fridge, or the freezer if you plan to store it for longer. Defrosting frozen meats it pretty simple and convenient.

I have similar experience. Though the smell got funny, the taste was still more or less the same.
I do know the reason behind, but I don't think the food has been spoiled. So far I don't have a stomache after eating that.
It smells differently when cold. Either way I usually have a 5-day maximum limit for pre-cooked food in the fridge.
use the freezer instead of the fridge.

hmmm Yea I put the food in the container while it was still warm. The condensation has been in the container since I cooked it and the water has a strong and unpleasant smell. Next time I will make sure to let it cool and see how it does.
And I will definitely follow that 5 day rule for keeping food in the fridge. If it has been there longer I probably won't eat it anyway
Wanna see funky food, this is Israels most proud export. "Jew's ear fungus"

I wouldn't eat any thing more than 7 days old (sometimes less). I am sure what you ate was fine though.
