Sorry my internet had gone out as I was posting the before picture, it's up now

How much weight have you gained?

What have you been doing to gain the weight?

I thought you had probably given up like most people. It's good to see you have stuck to your goals and made some progress.
Congrats, and don't stop now.

9 lbs,

squats-usually about 2 sets of 35 zercher squats with 50 lbs of weight
push ups/pull ups
a bunch of calf raises
core excerises
shoulder presses- usually about 45 reps with 50 lbs of almost every day

Thanks, and ya I'm only getting started.

Keep it up, and keep eating.

I'm assuming that you do not have a gym membership, which is fine, but you need to work harder to arrange a good program.
Doing more than 15 reps is starting to get out of the hypertrophy rep range. It's good that you have been training, but you need to make sure that your training suits your goals (which it might, I'm not sure).

Keep training, and eating, with the goal of gaining 5lbs each month (if weight gain is infact your objective).

OK so I'll do more weight, less reps. My objective would be to just look 'not skinny' but still have a low body fat. Over time I'd like to be around 175-180. And look similar to Juji circa 2005 maybe. And I don't have a gym membership but I could probably get one.

This thread is great, due to pantyhose. Good work.

A gym membership would be good.

From your pictures, I can tell you've been putting in the time. Now, keep it up and you will achieve this goal.

I'm always baffled when a person's goal is simply to look average.

...why even work out?

Everyone is different and there's no reason for you to be the judge on how people should look and why they train.

That's all well and good, but my question still stands. Why even work out, if you just want to look average?

average people don't workout. They just eat more than these people do.

Theres other reasons to train other than aesthetics.

Also, the last time I checked, most people do not look like this : http://trickstutorials.com/images/b_phy1.jpg without any training.

...why even work out?I want to look much better than "average". I said I don't want to look skinny. Skinny being average (although in America, average would be slightly overweight). I want to be strong but not huge, I care more about performance than aesthics, but a good physique is nice too.

Exactly.

Also, what you consider 'average' is probably quite appealing to many people.

You have a point there, what is average to me most would actually consider fit and muscular. haha

I guess I just have high standards.

Jeez, those pictures are weird in hindsight. Especially now Antoine is probably literally over double what he weighed there.

its sad how low american standards are. i've been losing weight for a little while. i'm down from 220(fatass) to 190-195. and i'm still 15-20 lbs from my goal and people have already told me to stop because i look to skinny. wtf?? i'm def not skinny, i just look thin because i'm 6'3, which makes it easy to either look thin or fat depending on what i wear.

anyway, average american sucks.

hah yea. When I was about 145lbs and 6ft, with a fairly high bf%, my mum asked me if it was safe to have that much muscle.

I remember when you made that 'weird x on my back' thread, where you got ripped for looking emaciated. It was pretty fucking hilarious.

Anyway, congratulations, nice smile.
