I am currently trying to convert my Power Snatch into a Classic Snatch... does anyone have any advice about how to help myself get used to it?
I currently practice front squats, back squats, overhead squats, and jump to crouch excercises, so I am really just wondering if anyone has run into a cool way to accelerate the transition or do you just get the guts to drop full with the weight?

Start light, and build up gradually.

You can practice the drop and catch, from a back squat position with a snatch grip. It's not the most specific movement, but you can get used to catching some weight and going low that way.

I'll have to give it a try... I think I am having more of a confidence issue... because I have got it right a few times... but i still keep power snatching. I am hesitant to add weight because that could end poorly.

Snatch balance and technique training with a stick (this way you won't feel uncomfortable).
What's the difference between a classic snatch and a power snatch?

A power snatch is when you catch the bar in a "squat" that is above 90 degrees (or parallel). A snatch is a full squat (below parallel) catch.

The secret to dropping fast is to unweight yourself. Snatch balance and even just dropping without any weight are good ways to train this. Learning to do this during a snatch is a matter of both confidence and timing.

Practice with low weight for a long time and slowly build up. Adding weight too soon is only going to be counterproductive.

Yeah... I am running 135 now... so I figure i will just keep at it until I can classic snatch it like nothing.
