Im sure you've all heard peoples' problems with the splits a million times,so....here's mine. lol.
When I stretch for side splits, I get a certain distance down, and then I can't go any further because of a pain in my hips. I've tryed having my torso parallel to the ground, and that worked for a day or two, but now im getting pain even in that way of stretching.
Should I practise for isometric splits before I start trying side splits? The pain, specifically, is in the back of my hips, and follows down the back of my thigh bones when i release the stretch. I don't know if this is hip flexor problems or if I've injured myself, or if i'm just disfigured.
I've tryed resting from any stretchs involving hip flexors, in case I'd injured myself. The pain went but now its back.
Any ideas or suggestions?
