i can't gainer on my opposite side (well ive never tried) but i can switch cork...it helps to have a switch full (i have it on the trampoline) just so you are semi comfortable with spinning the opposite direction. then you have to translate all the motions for normal cork to the switch/opposite side.

Try the teddy double cork tutorial, it has some pointers that really help for single corks.
