Hi guys im a total noob at tricking as u might tell... im pretty sure i got the tornado kick down, but im having problems doing a 540 when ever i try to swing my left leg up higher it always just falls back down and i land on my non-kicking leg... I know i dont have a vid and im working on to get one, but im just writing to get some tips.....
Yeah, i know what are talking about i tried to do 540 today too.... when i thought: "only few tries and i will have it", an awfull pain sneaked in my right hip so didn't get it, but i think that maybe you might want to get yourself more horizontal in your kick.

ummmm....my 540's aren't that fantastic anyway. But saying that, what really helps is having really good dynamic active flexibility with those kicks. Umm...just practice practice practice. I only got mine because I became like obsessed about it. But don't overdo the practice. Apart from that, watch alot of different tutorials on it. Oh! and what helps me, is when I do a spin hook before it to build up momentum.
Hope this helps.

Yeah, I learned 540 kicks through Taekwondo....
But during my practicies, my master saw me trying to do them, and he said to roundhouse kick first and then try kicking, so that I would get more momentum.
Try to tornado kick really fast. And then gradually progress to landing on both feet, and then on the kicking leg.
My friend's trying to learn 540 too. His problem is that he lands on the kicking leg, but his non-kicking leg is straight, so it ends up hitting the floor right after he lands his 540. So I guess you should try to keep your non kicking leg bent? I don't know, I'm not a real expert on this move.

all u need to do is get really good tornados, pretty high and effortless... then tuck ur non kicking leg away. like near your rear end. turn u r hips over , if u r doing the round kick way. i was thinking i could do a tutorial, if need be.
