K guys I need some advice. I've been tricking for a while now, I got the 540 kick down, Btwist, frontflip(almost), aerial(almost) and winter is approaching. I live in Canada so the ground is frosen solid:sad:. I was wondering if u guys had any suggestions on how to keep tricking during the winter months or should I maybe just solemly concentrate on my conditioning (weight lifting, working out) for the winter and get back into tricking come spring. Any suggestions would help.

If you have an opportunity to trick, IE one day a patch of ground is miraculously open, take it.

If you can find a gym/dojo/whatever place where you can train, use it.

If not, take the time you do have to condition etc. There are many-mini fundamental things you can practice even in your living room. Most of these are basic kicks, but you can also build some core proper motions into your repertoire; practicing butterfly setup, cheat setup, just going through the motions of those setups slowly and easy then practicing them at a quicker more realistic pace. If your setup is good, your tricks are good. You can practice balancing and spinning on a foot for however many rotations, trying to keep totally upright and get faster and faster, using more of your body in the spin.
There are many ways to benefit your tricks without having to do them. Tricks can be broken down into different parts and motions, and some of those motions can be practiced individually so they are in your muscle memory, and can be easily and cleanly called with good form when you need to use them in a trick.

If you want me to go into further detail, just ask. I just don't want to write a massive post if it's not going to be read lol.

Just do what I do and bundle yourself up a lot and trick. Granted, you won't land a lot of stuff, but at least the crashes will be really soft because of your gear.
