Hi there anyone who reads this post. I would like to get a couple of opinions from some of the board members on here. I am 22 years old and wanted to know if my age is going to be a problem if I start to learn tricking. Are there any advantages or disadvatages of starting at an older age? And if so what are they? Right now I work out and have been for the last 4 years. I got a 315 bench, 405 squat, and a 515 deadlift. When I was younger I use to be able to do splits and all types gymnastic moves. Now im not sure if it's to late or not to start this type of training.

22 is not old. Not for tricking or anything for that matter. It's not so much about your age but the physical condition you're in. I mean it's laughable reading your post. It's something a guy in his 30's might write haha.

You obviously are physical enough. I mean if you're not handicapped or obese there's nothing to fret over. Stretching and learning to do basic acrobatic moves is nothing for you to worry over, haha. Just start now.

I'm 22 for crying out loud (though I started at 17 but I wasn't that physical back then) and there's plenty of awesome tricksters in the world in their late 20's or older.

Just...trust me you have nothing to be concerned about. I don't know why you'd think that at 22. Start training now. Stretch and work on basic moves and just have fun working your way up.

Thanks for the great reaply. I wanted to know how if it would still be possible to be able to do splits even at this age.

I could do splits when I was young (pretty much every youngen can do them - I mean like 6-7 years old). Then I couldn't anymore. I worked on flexibility for a few months when I was about 19 and could do them again (tho I can't anymore haha). So yes, you absolutely can :good:

I can understand why you guys feel that way but I post plenty of useful information. Don't judge me based only on the select posts of mine you've seen. Anybody that's been here long enough knows me better than you guys apparently do. I mean when I first joined the forum I never posted something very random or non-serious, and that was over 5 years ago.

it's never too old.
a few weeks ago, my friends and I got some 27ish year old people to start. we gave them the link to trickstutorials and told them to read the stuff. and now the other day they are trying stuff that they would probably do 10 years ago. they thank'd my friends and I for revealing a youthful sport to them. it felt nice.
