-very nice inversion with virtually no landing
-Or a medicore/rubbish Raiz that's landed but is poor?
These seem to only be as good as I can do with said trick :eh:
I'll try and post a vid of my attempts when I can get a cam, but in the mean time which of these two factors would you rather see in early attempts?
-very nice inversion with virtually no landing
Unfortunatly for me it's -medicore/rubbish Raiz that's landed but is poor

haha, thanks guys.
The first one is what I'm more prone to doing anyway and I know it'll look good when completed, but the landing is utterly full of fail.
when you say the landing if fail, do you mean you land on all fours etc.
Or you just bail?

I get all the way round and then just crumple into a mess when my foot hits the ground.

Why does it have to be one or the other?
Land that sucka.
And do it inverted because if your head isn't below your hips it's not a Raiz. Seriously.

Yes, because those seem to be [in these early stages] the only ways I seem to Raiz.

Do a completely inverted raiz where it's pretty much a gainer out of a cheat take-off. Yeah. That would be beautiful.
Don't worry about landing it. Landing tricks is for sissies and ninnies! Real men crash everything.
Tamonten, remember my old raizes? Horizontal, floaty. Yeah, I lost them, but NOW I got new, inverted ones because I tried something very sneaky *cackles*
When I was in Hull last year or whenever it was, I remembered someone saying something about gumbis and raiz in brazil being known as "spine" cartwheels because the hands-on-ground versions of this move are like some fucked up wrong-way cartwheel. So I took a few steps and went into this move like I was trying to fuckin' AERIAL man, but instead of pulling my arms up to my sides, I throw them around and up like a cheatkick move. And it worked! Tried it at the gym last week and now I can do them from a regular little setup.
I'm not sure how this might apply to your raiz, but just remember to keep trying different things. I dont get how you can not land an inverted raiz man, things just seem to fall into place with mine. Oh, also bare in mind I haven't SEEN my own new raizs yet, but apparently they looked pretty swish.

Ho ho ho! Yes I do remember them.
Similarly, I've heard TKD_Andy talk about going into raizs like aerial except looking back as well as using your arms differntly. I might try them tomorrow if I remember.
I dunno why I don't land them, I probably could easily, but I just seem to fall into a big heap for some reason....I need a cam....
