When its cold outside, do you wear shoes or do you put like 3 pairs of socks on?
Me i prefer the socks but you seem to slide around alot :eh:
Jeez i wish it was warm outside :agony:
Socks. But only ever 1 pair lol.

I just bundle up and go barefoot. I try to find grass that isn't as muddy or wet, since those tend to coat the feet with the coldness. My feet are pretty tough/disgusting from always going barefoot unless required by law to have shoes and shirt.

Tricking on muddy grass has advantages and disadvantages.
It's nice and soft on the landing hehe.

Barefoot is the only way to go in the cold. I always bring some moccasins to warm my feet up whilst reviewing footage though.

Unless it's concrete, I ALWAYS trick barefoot. The weather means nothing to me when it comes to what I'm wearing on my feet.
Loosely related to cold weather: I did crosscountry on Thursday to skip some lessons at school and immediatly after the 2.5 mile haul, did a 540 and TOTALLY pulled my groin! YEAH! :good:

I take my socks off and prove how hardcore my frozen toes are.

Kinda like slippers. They're usually made out of some kind of hide with fur inside. They're comfy and warm.

Look like something women would wear because of their fashion value despite their obvious flaws.

Except yours are brown on the inside too?
Edit: I mean from the mud. That wasn't some kind of racial slur.

Haha I've had worse, last wednesday I was in my back yard just trying to get a better pop 360, my feet were pure numb, end of the session I looked down and had dog shit on my foot.

I'm getting new and light shoes for the upcoming winter.
I actually prefer to trick in the cold than I do the heat. I have to do more in order to stay warm and comfortable. As well, working yourself in to a sweat in 30 degree weather feels like euphoria, especially when you take that sweatshirt off and the cold feels refreshing.

it begins to snow and sleet.

I cut off the heel and toe area from a thick pair of socks, and tightened them up with elastics just to be awesome: I attempt to trick on this as of now. Grass gets unreasonable at times when it's wet, so I'm trying to trick on sand - which is actually pretty do-able  (doing something from grass up unto sand works well too).
Don't you get sand all over you if it's wet though ?
I doubt that would be a good thing if it were cold weather. :death:

Yes I do, and I don't really care haha. You can brush off sand easily once you get home
Haha true. Sooo do you use a sandpit, or a beach ?

Ignoring all the replies in this thread... shoes. Good old honest shoes.

I know it makes me lighter but I dont like going bare foot plus with shoes I can trick wherever without taking them off. Concrete including. I did go barefoot once and my height was more explosive but then the insects got to my feet and it itched like crazy.

Hm, it's a beach-like area, but it doesn't have that much sand. It's like this (yay I made a drawing!):
------\________________
The green area is solid ground (dirt) covered with some dead grass, I use this area to take off on certain tricks. I land in the 'sandybrown' zone, which is a bit below the grass-zone and actually quite small and not far away from the blue colored water area. It's also possible to toss tricks on the sand of course.
I just remembered: a clip from my latest sampler was recorded there. It's the crappy 'c720twist' at 01:54: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=TyRqtnDixzk
Haha this was useless to type, but writing something about my current outside-tricking area was fun anyway

Tricking on wet sand can be alright.
The key is to find sand that isn't too dense or hard to avoid landing on the equivilant of concrete :dead: On one piece of beach down here, i can trick on one spot and it'd be rock solid, the walk 4 feet the other way and it be just right.
It doesn't get everywhere. But it's a bastard if you crash on wet sand though.

Haha, I have the exact same problem at the location I described: some areas are rock-solid and would surely kill my joints if I landed harsh :dead:

I'm the same way, I basically trick in shoes because its more difficult. Also don't have to make any adjustments when I'm tricking on the go that way.

I bring a thermos with hot tea in it.
A wide headband. (to cover ears)
I wear two tshirts and a long sleeve.
Longjohns and tricking pants.
Two layers of socks.
And thin gloves. (if it's hella cold)
It'll feel like summer after awhile! lol
