You should try to reach out as far as possible , meaning your hands would be farther away from your feet .

Yeah it depends on if you are diving into it and how much run up you have, how much momentum you want, stuff like that. Just experiment.

note: you don't *have* to block these. gotta just make sure you go upwards. i guess you could work it out once messing around with em. :good:

hey i cna help you with this
it really depends on how you are going into it
if you are just doin a one step, i would experiment and put the hands down in a way where u could REALLY push off n get a high punch
if u are running into it, place it as far away from your feet as possible
goodluck!

In general, faster + farther reach + less contact time with the ground = more powerful and higher. Takes a lot of practice to use your speed well, but it's worth practicing.
For standing, you don't need to reach as far since you aren't moving as fast, but still try. Try to get some horizontal momentum going, and try to push off hard and fast.

Question seems silly to me. It's like asking "how long of a torso should I have?" A round-off only becomes airborn after a shoulder block. Givens: your lunge should put your chest parallel to the ground when you initiate heel drive, your arms should be placed perpendicularly to the ground, and your hands should touch the ground the same moment your non-driving leg leaves the ground. Therefore, your reach on a roundoff should always just be the length of your torso.
Here's some random examples:

Doesn't matter which roundoff you watch, everyone reaches the same way.
