I rarely post to ask for tips, but I can't seem to j-step for my life and, apparently, don't seem to get the torquing/twisting/tight concept.

When I do it in a turning setup it works better, but I've been told I would have more power with a j-step but it's worse.

Any tips comments, laugh etc :)

Can you jstep gflash easily?

I can J-step g-flash decenly, but I can never spread my legs and land on one foot at a time, and I HATE IT. I'm pissed since g-flash gainers are one of my favourite move.

you just really need to fix your j-step. it needs to be smoother, and more controlled. Designate a set of steps that works, and memorize it, and only use that. And KGB's tutorial is perfect

don't jump forwards! you're doing it like a straight gainer. there's no point in the jstep if your last step cancels all momentum of previous steps and goes directly straight. the momentum of first steps should carry you sideways or backwards (if your jstep is like running into pivoted setup)

I think I understood what I was doing wrong while watching KGB7's tut. I have a session tomorow, i'll keep you guys updated. :)

Thanks so much by the way, I tried several setups and ways and such but got pissed and asked for help.

Gflashes should roughly be easier than a standing tuck. When it feels like that then go for a cork.

Your J-step set up is very bad, it looks more like your running in a elongated c pattern. Use less steps, most good J-steps only have three steps. The two that will give you your forward momentum and the third step which is to the side at approximatly a 45 degree angle as said in KGB's gainer flash tutorial. Also you are not using your arms really in any of those attempts. You bring them from your side to your chest. what you want to do is coordinate your arms swinging through with your leg and driving everything you have upward by pushing off the ground with your toes and then stalling in mid air before you bring those arms in to spin. this will allow you to set yourself in the air and give yourself more height and time. Just remember to use all your limbs with this move and not just your legs and try to set yourself completely horizontal with that 90 degree pseudo part of the gainer-flash done before you bring your arms in and cork

Any reason why I don't see to be turning so slow?

My j-step will help me getting more height, and I will try to fix it tonight... but I can't seem to complete the rotation. I turn so slowly and don't seem to understand why.

Any tips on my rotation/torquing/keeping tight?

Thanks for the comments so far, really appreciated.
