Completing the 540 kick before or during the apex of height, then twisting on the way down.
just imo

i mean more the amount of rotation/landing leg (kicking/non-kicking/both) etc
obviously gotta get some decent height and speed haha

Going to bed at a sensible time so you have enough energy to...
... nevermind.
im confused a bit on how it should be performed..cuz when i look at wushu guys it almost looks like a tornado gyro.

that's pretty much what the wushu guys do and how they learn it

For a "good" 540 gyro you need to give your 540 a moon stone.

Just do a 540 like you usually would, but then gyro the complete 360 rotation, meaning you land facing the direction you kick after a full rotation.
You see, what makes it "good" or "better" is the fact that you need not compromise your prerequisite to complete it. I believe that may be a good qualifier for all tricks.

a 360 extra spin
that's pretty much what the wushu guys do and how they learn it
so if i did that..is it considered a 540 gyro or a tornado gyro in tricksters eyes?

A 540 is just an extension of the Tornado kick anyways.

so an extra 360 degrees would mean....
take off (kick this way >)
land (facing this way <)
Yeah. If you kick towards the camera, your toes should point the opposite direction (obviously the back) when you land.
