I think the valdez twist, as i remember it, was basically a hybrid of the normal valdez and a 1990. Like...

Squat...Jump back canted slightly to the side on which your reaching your arm...Replace that arm with the other, which creates a "twisting" motion... Land one-two like a normal 1990...

I wish I could explain it better, I'll see if I can find a vid of Kalman doing it.
