kick through not too, watch go do the 540 without the kick just have it tucked in and gradually have yourself extended on each try untill you land 1, it will be low most likely but in a few days you'll be throwing them high

Is there anyway you can post a video?, And I'm saying your 540's landing will be good but your kicks will be low for a couple of days, because you should be throwing your hips over enough with a high kick to land always so I uno videos?

Hm, try to treat your 540's as your sideswipes/laydown 540's, but instead of spotting your landing, spot your target.

Awww I see, ok well first off 540 you want to keep your back straight so no leaning back, or if you do, do it very little, and you needa force your first knee up that gives you lift, also if praticing this on a kicking target you look at the target as your turning and follow your shoulder with your face so its, turn head, legs, body, you all wound up looking at target now you jump and continue turning your head, So yeah here practice this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCqlZrwrABY

don't worry about his setup or anything stick with what feels good to you but practice the jumping off 1 leg and landing on it with your step up and you should have it shortly

dude, hes right, dont lean back when taking off. if u wanna have a decent looking 540, do alot of inside crescents or round kicks from standing. once u get that, try doing a tornado kick (remember its EXACTLY like an inside crescent kick, only u turn and jump off) and fixing it. when ur ready, u can try the 540, and it would look even more cooler. i know its gonna take some time but at least ur gonna have a nice lookin 540 soon
