Hey ChrisD here. The Loopkicks Camp in 2008 will now be a Gathering too. Camp will run from a Monday to Friday, and the Gathering will start on Friday n go till Sunday nite. I'm still waiting for a confirmation on a date but its going to be late July/early August. All details will be updated here and could be changed at any time. (Note: the fees listed below are for the gathering, not for camp) its gonna be fun this year =P

-San Jose, Milpitas, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara (Northern California)
-gym pending

Nearest Airports:
-San Jose International (15min)
-San Francisco International (40min) [Normally the least expensive]
-Oakland International (45min)

WHEN:
-Summer, July 28th - August 3rd
-Camp: July 21st - July 27th, Monday to Sunday

san jose international is the closest airport, 15 min from the gathering

but san francisco and oakland airport are both close too. 40 min from the gathering

most international flights come in from san francisco, but you can sumtimes arrange arrival into san jose if you lay over in another city within the United States, usually chicago, philadelphia, or NY. careful NY's customs is pretty nasty since 911 lol

i found a one-way flight from houston texas to oakland (45 min from gathering) for as low as 120 bucks. not bad at all especially cuz summer time prices are always peak. ill talk to sessh n gdong, maybe we can keep our dates close to each other. then you guys can have your own lil mini USA tour lol :shocked:

flights are around 6 or 7 hundred dollars to houstan with a change at either new york or philly. if flights are really cheap to cali then i'd almost definately be down with going to both gatherings.

-rooming for 6 nights
-3 meals per day/7 days
-yellow bus transportation
-activities
-niteshow ticket
-goodies


the GATHERING ($150) will join in from friday and go to sunday (might extend it to monday). this does not include instruction. your fee will cover:
-open floor time for 3 days
-rooming for 2 nights
-3 meals per day/3 days
-yellow bus transportation
-niteshow ticket

-for $300 we'll give you rooming for 6 nites, 3 meals per day/7 days, yellow bus transportation, the niteshow ticket, and open floor time for 7 days after the campers are finished training

about yer question tho. what i had in mind wasnt so much coinciding the events, but having them lined up one week after the other. that way it would be easier to attend both. like it would suck if someone travelling from afar would have to choose one between the both. especially if they both pretty close in distance and in dates.

n think of the gathering as a portion of the camp set aside and specially modified just for the hardcore tricking community. its all in the same week (july 28th to august 3rd), tho i AM thinking about extending the gathering to monday for you guys. (= we see we see.

the $300 thing you are referring to is just a spectator pass really. you dont get to train with the campers, but you CAN watch. and there will be open floor after the campers are finished with their training.

$1400 is crazy tho.. you will most likely be able to find a flight for about $1000 if you search well enough
