Back 180 help

I was told to jump over my shoulder so i tryed it and i twisted 90 degress in the air like not even half way through the flip and when i was comming down my legs swung me back to the backflip position so basically i did a 90 degree turn and flipped back around to standing position WTF???

How do i spin the hole 180?

turn your head and torque hard.. my friend can't actually 180 twist anymore he fulls or more everytime.. so he has to spin to his opposite side to get the 180

Are we talking Arabian? I turn the full 180 before flipping, and throw more of a front flip. I've heard of people doing them other ways though.

Yeah that is right for an arabian. However, i think this guy is talking about a half twist which is with a 180 integrated into the backflip.
