Hey guys, I have a really weird problem with the btwist. For some reason, I can never get my legs to straighten out and they always appear really close to my torso. I've tried forcing it out but it still looks like it does.

Also, I cannot do a regular btwist either, it always comes out as a shuriken twist. Anyone also have this problem? and any tips on how to fix this is appreciated =P

That is nice dude! You could kick out a really nice twist-round from that

Anyway, all I can say is, jump up straight and do a normal 360 spin. That is what you need to do in your btwist. So your thighs are squeezed together, you are straight, etc.

Perhaps if you go back to drilling b kicks for a while, and then try to get a more "straight twisting" btwist this will help.

Good luck.

hahah I've always thought bkicks werent necessary for btwists and I've got really shitty bkicks. Perhaps that could be my problem. I'm not a fan of the bkick.

Oh ok, why did you think that? I drilled b kicks for a while until they were "good" and landed btwists on my 2nd try.

The thing is, it will help you get a nice leg spread and help you to get your body straight. Then when you twist, you will twist straight haha. You should be able to fix the problem pretty quickly dude and then your b twist will be immense!

If you post a vid of your b kick that could also be useful :)

Woah woah woah he has enough strength. He has good height, etc.

The only problem is flexibility/he learned it the slightly wrong way. B kicks will be your savior, I'm sure of it.

Edit: Also remember to keep turning your shoulders/head all the way around. You should end up facing the opposite direction you started.

Man oh man, I gotta admit I love them. Teaching friend B-kick made me relised my normal b-twist was shit low. I've learned and unlocked new heights and almost land 720 b-twist at age 14.

lol I think this is actually a nice looking shuriken twist and it's even more enjoyable then normal btwist would be

What exactly do you want out of it... legs straight? you need to actively think about it b4 and while doing it. but all in all i like the one u r doing now imo.

What i wanted out of it is the ability to do normal btwists in addition to shuriken twists XP. My leg just crescent out by itself.

As for the bkick practice, I'm gonna start drilling them again after i session in another week and ill post up the footage.
