View Full Version : wrap?
I have been drilling btwists lately and I am kinda confused on the concept of wrapping your body when twisting. Wrapping seems to make me twist slowly instead but yet all the guides i see recommend wrapping. Is it not okay to just twist with ur arms slightly reaching outwards?

If you post a video, giving advice would be alot easier.

You will just be uncomfortable or scared to bring your arms right in when you twist. Having your arms out creates resistance so it is just something you will get used to over time.

It is okay if you land at a good height, but if your like below chest height. You might wanna consider wrapping AND taking of higher (duh, lol joke)
So wrapping, think of it like spinning on a chair, bring your legs in and you spin faster. So if your arms are slightly out there tuck them in and Ta-da. More rotational value.
So like the take off from a b-kick you flare your chest and arms, bam, wrap, bring them in.
I hope this helps, peace!

Grr, if you want advice post a video... Or search the forum. It's almost impossible to help without a video. (this isn't aimed just at you man).
Don't bring your arms to your chest, bring them to where you want your chest to be and let your chest follow along with it. My friend Jeremy couldn't full right because he would wind his arms back and instead of pulling them all the way through, he'd just bring them to where his chest was, creating almost no spin. Then I told him to pull the arms all the way behind him and it worked. So basically, wrap your arms to behind you to get the spin, then keep them in close to keep that spin going.
