I have had problems with corkscrews forever. I can't keep my legs straight, and to me, I look and feel awkward.

Yes, and the one at 50seconds was nice.
Curling is fine, if it's natural to you and you like it that way. But I mean not crunch into a ball haha. bent legs are perfectly fine.
You want to Swing that leg up and lift off your left, remember to bring your hips up!
So like Swing, lift off left foot, hips forward, reach out for someone and hug them <3!!
<3 Good luck!

Yeah your swinging leg is going sideways and isn't really going any higher than your hips... Swing your right leg towards your left ear, bring your hips up. That should make you more horizontal! Oh and you look like your twisting too early. Focus on jumping as high as you can then twist!
kamikaze!

Haha I don't know why this move is so hard for me. I don't know which set up to do either. I like the way J-step looks, but can barely do it. My gainers suck. I don't go over, but cheat it and go around kind of. I guess I just need to drill it. Thanks for the help everyone. I haven't yet tried it though.
shawn your gainers are damn high...even if they are slanted. They should be fine for corks...
for cork you need to do a gainer and THEN twist after you are in the air.
Think gainer...then twist.
Kick the kicking leg as high as possible...kick it straight to the shoulder. Not around like a roundkick or something, but straight up like a front stretch kick.
Thats basically your only problem, you are not kicking your leg straight up or high enough...and twisting to early. More flip less twist <<kinda. =P
Good luck man! :good:

Just don't go fully backwards, wait hell yeah go for it Gainer full XD
Haha, I'm joking. Do what Jon said, I hope he means slant gainers or Moonkicks are whatever they're called now.
Exactly what he said in my term.
"Think moonkick (I usually say moonkick XD for Slant gainers) then twist."
Or I pretend you kick a soccar ball then twist XDD

His normal gainer is slanted...so for him he just needs to think gainer.

Here are some of my gainers. I just tried some outside to see if I could make it better. It starts off with the earliest ones from:
1-10-07
4-1-07
7-24-07
8-16-07
Today 11-28-07 (the black long sleeves)

OH wicked, so it'll be no problem for him then, but to me the swinging motion of the leg seems different when I do a gainer, or slanted gainer. Because I don't know the different. I'm such a weirdo.
If I feel that I can't land a gainer I naturally do swing off my shoulder to slant gainer, but that's like instinct so I'm trying to keep that feeling to not eff up my corks. XDD
Nice nice .

Try thinking of it as a gflash full much like a kickfull in tumbling.
Throw a high gflash (Which your clearly can) and then wrap for the full part.
Granted there are semantics about corks vs. gainerfulls, but either way you need to stall the wrap.
