Jump and spin.

All it is is a regular jump spin but you get horizontal by kicking up behind you.

In wushu you should be able to do at least 2 bkicks in a row untill you can practise btwists.

Well, their approach is systematic so that you get your basics looking shiny before you go on to more advanced moves.

Since tricking isn't structured, you don't NEED a b-kick to do a b-twist. In fact, you only need the kick to help you figure how to use the step-up to get yourself horizontal. After that, just set-up like you do for a b-kick, then just torque your shoulders over and you'll twist.

What I'm doing? Well, 2 b-kicks in a row for now.

But try b-twists in soft environments because I, like, can' do it. So I allow myself to fall and keep falling until I get used to having to twist. It's actually getting easier the more I keep trying.

Perfect practice makes perfect. ^_~

You don't NEED anything, but if you want a half decent btwist you need a good bkick. If you're trying to bkick and falling on your face you will be able to successfully twist into the ground or do a near vertical 360 jump. Not a btwist.

Why the hell wouldn't you get a bkick first? You can use it differently in combos, it has it's own variations, it makes learning btwists 1000times easier, etc.

If you truly do have a "good" bkick, the transition to twisting is as easy as Skilzat said. Before I landed/attempted my first btwists I just jumped and did a 360, then tried to do that during my bkick. I landed them on the first attempt which I didn't bail out of [like 2nd or 3rd actual attempt].

I had a decent bkick before it, what I mean by that is I had good form, decent height and the movements were autonomous to me [ I didn't need to think about the sub-routines of the skill to perform it ].

So... get out there and try it :) Just make sure you commit! B-twists aren't a very scary or dangerous move so there is no need to let fear ruin your chances of getting a sweet b-twist.

Good-luck
