My hyperhooks used to be decent. Now they suck. I either kick too late, too early, too low, or I am too slanted. Any tips?

looks like you're going towards your head a fair bit on the btwist. try just launching straight up using the back leg an assload (almost like a webster if it helps). gotta just get that dip right so you not only go upwards, but in the right direction. most of the dip should come from the hips/waist, not the knees.
just some things to think about. i'm sure you'll get these back though man! this move is killer

hahaha and i hope to see YOU at TXT mang =D
Yeah Shawn...I think the problem also lies in the fact that your Btwist-round is more of a tornado than it is a Btwist variation. Like when you do your Btwist, you don't really drop your chest down much...instead you focus on turning around extremely quickly [kinda like an Illusion Twist without kicking].
You're probably gonna have to re-learn how to Btwist to correct the habit :eh:

Argh! That sounds devastating to me.:eh: My btwist used to be okay, but I tried focusing on getting that round kick high so thats why I stopped dropping my chest. I will keep trying though. Here is one of my old hyperhooks (not the best)

whoa i liked the second one n the one at 11 seconds.. looks hella crazy
if you wanna take it step by step.. train yer btwists.. n then train hypertwists. theeeen train hypertwists landing but facing the target and chambering for a hook/crescent.. get those down comfy n then adding the hook shouldnt be a problem
it seems like the problem lies in yer reg btwist.. ya need rewind a lil bit n train that. looks like you jump off two feet for a few attempts.. and yer knees are too far apart. sabatoges everything.
also what you can do is attack the approach a little more. give yourself more momentum, n theoretically, itll translate into more speed and height to work with. the higher you get, the more time you have to throw more tricks in one jump. the faster you are, the sooner you can do all that.
you should also check out Sessh's tutorial on it. breaks it down awesomely

To be honest what you're doing now may not be a hyperhook but it does look sorta cool ahah.
Unfortunately, the problem lies in your b-twist technique. I can see that just after you enter the rotation you turn yourself upright. Train them to be horizontal, you want to quickly wrap around and spin, try looking from ground to ground.

yeahhh
go back n get those btwists high again...then the hypertwists.
make sure when you do the hypers, overrotate them so that you land facing your target and that you land standing up!
goodluck buddy :)

It looks like you're trying to stick the kick out BEFORE you hyper it. The leg comes out and throws you off balance. Finsh the hypertwist first, THEN rip that leg out. Might help
