Hey, Guys

I'm just in the completion of the Loopkicks South West DVD which will be out for christmas. I thought it be cool if i could had some derby samplers on there, i was going to make my own but my footage aint good enough so just wondering if any people that have made samplers could get hold of me so i can sort something out. Obvioulsy your name will be on it so peeps know who made the sampler.

so, you're looking to get high quality samplers off other people, that other people have spent their time making, then you're going to put it on a dvd and sell it to make money for yourself?

Hey,

Its not really like that Andy, i thought it be cool wid sum samplers on it from derby you will get some recognition for it but thing is dvd aint going be much so for like a 3min sampler you will get not much money out of it. So i just thought it be cool for people to have their sampler on the DVD. If people make so much fuss i wont bother just trying to promote tricks alittle.

If you getting the wrong idea the dvd is from the Yeovil event the seminar gathering that i hosted with tutorials and interviews. The derby samplers are extras im adding to the dvd!

It will cost around about £10 about 15mins of the gathering maybe more not sure yet. Thers loads of you dude in it!

you do realise that if one person gets this dvd it will be ripped and on the net within hours.

This isnt anything personal, i just do not believe that people are going to pay for this.

Yeah I don't rearly like the idea that it's being sold haha. I rearly like our little community where we all share our videos with each other, not matter how much time and effort we have put into it. I think that many people on here could become very good at what they do, to the point of making a hell of a lot of money, I mean look at Dave C for example, how friggin epic are his samplers, Hell I would pay money for them but he shares them with the community for free.

That for me is something I rearly like about tricking in genrel.

But yeah haha, it's not up to me to decide what you do so yeah.

Grrrrr I DID film quite a bit of Loopkicks footage, but my schools computer was too full and they diddn't let me put it on. (All I was going to do was put it on, put it on a CD, then delete it all straight away.)

sounds a bit wierd that your charging people to watch themselves trick, it wouldent be that bad if you were charging only for the price of the dvd/P+P, because sometimes, it can be nice having a physical copy of the samplers aswell as having high quality footage, but it looks like your trying to make money on it...

I see no problem with someone spending alot of time putting a professional dvd together then making a profit on it. People from the seminar and gathering will most likley buy it like myself and the other sampler idea's are most likely a way of promoting the sport and loopkicks more so people can start tricking and support loopkicks in the future. if peoples names are on the editing and they agree to have it on the dvd i see nothing wrong with this.

im not trying to have a go at the guy, im sure he's a really cool guy and all but...

i just dont see people going out of their way to make samplers or send him footage at their own cost just so he can make some money off of it.

I agree with the idea of the DVD, it should just be free.

Even if it's not free it should be significantly less than £10...
Also wont it justbe footage that we have already seen seeing as joe filmed alot of the gathering with his beasty camera.
Also in the seminar wasn't it just a load of people learning backtucks and a few kicks? (not trying to be offensive.).

Ah yes, I remember that! Worth it though I say!

The difference being that I posted the entire video on google video. The DVD was just for people who wanted the full quality with all the songs from the dvd and some footage I hadn't included. Which is what Joe should make his DVD to be if he expects to get backing with this.

but you do realize that you can't just sell a dvd with online-samplers without licensing the music right?

i hope you won't get any serious trouble with this one. for real... you should give some thoughts about it how much you can publicly promote it.

Hey Guys,

Don't buy the DVD, I'm not bothered. I've got loads of people wanting the dvd. And as people are making so much fuss im not having any derby footage for extras, i just thought people would like to see there sampler on a dvd sold to quite a few people oh well your loss!

Thoughs people could just watch the free footage online though, and if they wanted a high quality version they could just download it of the countless people that have footage.

How is it our loss anyway haha, it would be our loss if you offerd a percentage of the profit you're making of the sampler we would be sending you, but seeming as you're not, it rearly isn't our loss.
