I can frontsplit...The pic is my best attempt at side split, i can do more, but then my body goes kinda wierd, i think that im going into a frontsplit (My right ass is moving backwards, my left is moving inwards, my right shoulder is turning, thats why i think im going in a frontsplit). Ill continue to stretch like in the pic. If i hold the stretch everyday for 45 seconds two times a day, about how long will it take me to get sidesplit?

you're still pretty far...
and nobody can say how much time it will take you to get the split, everyone is diferent...just keep stretching.

Are you using dynamic stretches too?
What you describe would be an ok way of stretching for the splits. Ideally, you should spend about 30 seconds (or a bit more) at your maximum range. This means each repetition of a stretch will take a few minutes - a minute or two slowly and gently feeling a stretch until you are at your maximum range, then around 30 seconds holding it. You can also repeat the stretch within a session, leaving a gap of one or two minutes between each repetition.
Read Juji's page on flexibility if you have no idea about dynamic stretching.
Oh, and it'll probably take you some months to get the splits since you're too young for isometrics. Don't worry though, just make sure you stretch daily and don't miss sessions out of laziness (of course you might need days off if you accidentally over-stretch).

I havent had splits that high in about 8 years, and I still dont have splits. Does that answer your question?

Dynamic stretching won't increase his static flexibility, it's just a good idea if the reason he's getting that is for kicking anyway.
No one can guess how long it will take just knowing how long you're stretching for. You can actually 'train' at stretching for very long periods and not make any gains at all, or train regularly for seemingly brief periods and make amazin gains. This depends upon how well you're relaxing and muscle tension issues in the body and emotions, temperature, food, all variables no one knows about.

Your legs are just past a 90 degree angle.
On the time span from 1 to 10 of how close you are, your probably about 2.
So yeah, ages away.

For sidesplit:
You only need to practice your sidesplit for better adductor flexibility. Make sure to be at your full range of motion when you hold it for 30 sec.
If you are lucky and don't have any problem with your cold flexibility and hip alignment, you can get close to the sidesplit in about 6 months.

No. Sorry to be blunt but you didn't seem to even read my post!
Each repetition of a stretch will take a few minutes in total. OF THAT FEW MINUTES, most will be spent gradually reaching your maximum range, about 30 seconds will be spent holding the maximum. You should avoid feeling pain while stretching.
Do that once every day. Ideally you should stretch your whole body (depending on your flexibility levels). One stretch per major muscle or muscle group is enough, any more than two is getting excessive. As I'm almost sure Juji says in big letters: don't do all the stretches he shows. One or two per muscle group is plenty.
If you just want the side splits (you should want good overall flexibility too), you should stretch adductors and abductors AT LEAST. It's important to have similar range in all directions in a joint.
If you stretch every day, with good form, you could get the splits in around three to six months. This estimate is almost certainly wrong, since there is a lot of variation in flexibility levels between people. Stretching well though (consistently and with good technique), it would be reasonable to expect to have the splits in well under a year.

Man i dont know why u ppl want to get splits by trainning few min per day? I train 2 hours. If u train only few min u will never get the side splits NEVER. Is just not fair if u think a little bit: 2 min---2 hours cant u see illegal, crime POLICE!!

Frontsplits are ok. SIdesplit is a real pain in the ass with the hip alignment.
Sooo, when are you gonna write a book on stretching Graber?

You're getting there. Just keep practicing them, I don't know how long it will take, different people have different abilities, you'll get them sooner or later if you keep practicing.

It's ok.
By leaning forward he is training the toes up split which stretch the same muscle as the sidesplit.
The only difference is that isometric is a bit harder that way.

Front splits are easier than sidesplits always...Because nobody walks laterally, open the legs as in a front split is much common than how u do in the sidesplit.
