How much does it cost YOU to get to Birmingham new street train station.
find out on this site and post the cost:
http://nationalrail.co.uk/
I'm on about a return journey booked a week in advanced.
Arriving at between 10am and 12 noon on a saturday and leaving by 9:30 the same day.
I'm pondering the idea of a small day meet in birmingham and this information would be useful.
edit: bare in mind that if you are under 25 you can get a young persons railcard for £20 so if your journey is expensive it may be more worthwile to get one first. It gets you a 3rd off of fares.

Ace, I think a bham meet is a good idea in the future then.
Ben: the gym is good, its £80 for the year and you get to train 3 times a week. It doesn't do open sessions though.

Yeah, there should be a gathering, this would make our journeys worthwile, instead of just a gym session, or like one day.

A full gathering is impossible for me to host. The only way it would work would be if someone else in bham was willing to host it.
Could it be possible to camp somewhere ?
tom! go to edinburgh you bitch.haha
i'm going there fo sho.

Fuck that in winter bro'sif
hahah i just had a greatly simple idea.
i could pay train fare to bens.
child fare obviously.with a large(ish) case.
then when i get to bens he jumps in the case and travels for free.
this would work on the train.and would also be hilarious.
lololololololol.

In fact, I think the only way I'd come to this is if JamesP is going and willing to give me a lift.
or nothing if you do the trick you did last time to edinburgh.it was actually genius.
 what trick was that
i booked a ticket on the tinterweb, and was supposed to pay for the ticket when i picked it up from a ticket machine at the station. But when i got to the station i had unforuntley forgotton my booking code which i needed to use in the machine, i didnt have time to go home to get it, so i just got on the train.
I got to edinburgh fine, but in the train station at edinburgh they have these machines which require a ticket to get off the platform, and if you dont have a ticket, you can get fined for jumping the ticket, i didnt have a ticket. But at the time, there was a disabled (+ some wheelchairs) group being let through the ticket barrier through a gate, so i just walked through next to them.
on the way back, i didnt wana spend £30 on a ticket, so i showed them the print out i had of the timetable, telling the barrier people that i had lost my ticket, and he let me through.

Well I drag my sorry ass down there to see you every two weeks as it is so barring any sudden financial catastrophe then I should guess that it would be just as do-able as it has been for the last three months :]
so err yup...I'm there.
