Winter Solo Sampler 2007

Hello!

For some reason I only ever get round to making a solo sampler during winter. It's probably because I'm not tricking with Team Bagel, like I would be during the summer, and that's when I normally trick best and make the best videos. Anyway. Here I am with another one, filmed entirely at the gym here in Edinburgh (thanks Phantom for the lifts haha!) and the gym for Loopkicks Derby (thanks Wookiss and Tim for the footage!!).

(If you haven't seen much of me before, I recommend watching the old videos... I am personally very pleased with how far I've come, even though I'm not yet amazing).

And man, in the very first one you already had brandy_backflip down haha... second had great improvements, with the gainers and advanced aerial variations and all. You have cirtanly developed you're own compleatly individual style now.

In you're older samplers, it's like I saw little bits of you're style (like all the editing effects)

But I can deffinatly see that in you're older videos, you have a regular sort of style

However, in you're Winter Solo Sampler, you are unlike other tricksters, you have a cirtan edge, unique.

Banks, I think it's significant to say that whenever I land a semi-decent kick, I land it to impress you - you're still the kick technician of the team, and regardless of how many spins I get down you'll always be the one with the power behind the kicks. Um haha. I don't actually know which is my double leg side. The only double legs I've actually landed on flat ground are the ones in this video - one into the foam pit, one at derby. They're both on the same side and they're the side I 360 crescent most easily on. Double legs have always been my weakness. Simon's right, into the foam pit, I can net some sketch dl-twists both sides, and semi-consistent regular dls, but I think I'm more consistent going over my left shoulder (which coincides with all my twists anyway). However, my 360 crescent side itself is awkward anyway, since I cheat (and, usually, pop7, 9, and 10[attempt]) kick the other way. I originally learnt pop7s the same way as my pop3s (since my right leg is my dominant kicking leg, so to begin with inside kick = 540 = kick to my left, outside kick = 360 = kick to my right). Things are slowly beginning to even out with ch7s entering my repetoire, and tornado-pop7 being quite consistent...

I digress.

The point is, holyshitmegathanks for the comments everyone, I'm glad the reception is proportional to the effort I put into making it (AND finishing it before I went home for christmas, where I would not have my editing resources).

Sounds awesome! :) Yeah, I do go away, but only in my third year - I go to a french speaking country and help out at a university or some shit like that, it should be ace. I'm not sure exactly how long it is for - about 9 months I think - but I don't know whether that includes or excludes the summer. We'll see!
